I started off in college as an education major, took an intro to sociology class, fell in love with the subject, switched majors, realized - what am I going to do with a sociology degree?, switched back to education, got asked by Kelsey to be her photography partner in crime, graciously agreed, shot some weddings, fell in love with love and all things weddings, and now I seriously want to immerse myself in the wedding industry ..
Whether it’s photography or planning, I just want to be a part of the process. Being a part of a couple’s most important day of their lives is an absolutely humbling experience. It brings me the utmost joy and makes my heart oh so happy to see love at its finest. How God brings two people together and sets them on their life journey amazes me each and every time I am able to attend a wedding.
But I love kids as well! I’ve always wanted to be a teacher. I’ve been blessed to have a handful of great teachers, and because of them, I’m on the path to becoming one as well. I want to help build a great foundation for younger kids. I want to be a part of that light bulb moment when a child learns how to read a word, a sentence, a book. I want to positively influence them and make them want to learn and love school.
Who says I can’t do both though? I guess we’ll just have to see where life takes me.
